Growing up with travel agents as parents, I was lucky enough to explore the world from a young age.

I have a deep interest in sociology (micro and macro), psychology, neurology and the science that bridges them.

The culmination of my life and work experience has led me to found Relatus, where we are dedicated to building human relationship capability.

I firmly believe relationships matter and networks are powerful!

More than ever, and especially as we face into challenging and changing working environments, I believe the future is human. To succeed, we need to refine our approach to how we interact, engage and grow in networks (existing & potential).

Julia Palmer is a respected Relational Strategist best known for leading the face-to-face revolution!

She has dedicated her career to helping educate business people on the importance of managing a viable network by aligning a strategy to create and manage viable internal and external business relationships.

She has forged her own approach to this critical area of business and developed “NRM – Network Relationship Management” and “Netships – Networking relationships”, which she presents passionately on.

Julia’s expertise includes over 20 years of practice and research. Her corporate career involved global travel and hosting hundreds of conferences in all industries. She has held senior level management positions working for multinational organisations and living in cities spanning Sydney, London, Stockholm, and Singapore, each experience honing her business acumen and evolving her managerial, communication, interpersonal and sales skills. She has personally closed millions of dollars of sponsorships and partnerships along the way and believes firmly in the effectiveness of networking as a career requisite.

Now, in the role that life has been grooming her to take on, Julia works to help people improve their corporate productivity by refining their business relationship strategies. A key part of her ethos focuses on empowering her clients to learn soft, social and emotional intelligence techniques that enrich both their personal and professional lives.

“I was in the first seat in Julia’s presentation today (Kochie’s Business Builders boot camp). Loved her Networking skills and hints/tips. I now know my weaknesses and can improve them after listening to Julia. People often think of networking differently, but I was really amazed to see how Julia completely transformed everyone in the room to explain what networking really is about. I am definitely recommending Julia, see it for yourself and you will be surprised of the amazing ideas she has.”

Audience Applauding

“Franklin Women, a social enterprise to support women working in health and medical research careers, was very grateful to have Julia as the guest speaker at our launch event in Sydney. Shortly after advertised the event sold out which is a testament to Julia’s reputation both as a professional speaker but also expert in her field. She read the room perfectly with respects to pitching the presentation content and also length. The result was a completely engaged room that was literally buzzing during the activity Julia’ facilitated."

Clapping Audience

On behalf of the society, I am proud to express the positive impact Julia had on all the participants. She focussed on cultivating relationships touching on mannerisms, strategy, social science and its value to the person. In a span of a limited 2-hours, she imparted invaluable knowledge and confidence to everyone that attended. Julia’s presence was very enjoyable and several members even approached me to express their feelings in the session being the best way to close the program. ”
